John 7:17 ( 8-30-08 )

Posted by waynebrownministries on 30th August 2008

 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Let’s continue.

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

The Greek words “ean tis thele to thelema autou poiein ” translated “If any man will do his will, ” means quite literally, if anyone wishes to do the will of Him.

Notice Jesus said;

If any man will do his will,Jesus did not say at this time if a person is doing God’s will but rather wishes to do God’s will since Jesus is addressing all human beings in this statement since Jesus’ doctrine is for all human beings, as we learned in the last study.Jesus did not say at this time if a person God’s will but rather God’s will since Jesus is addressing all human beings in this statement since Jesus’ doctrine is for all human beings, as we learned in the last study.This in itself blows the traditional church doctrine of “God controls everything” completely out of the water. John 7:16 continued (posted 8-26-08 )

Posted by waynebrownministries on 26th August 2008

“Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.In the last Bible study I discussed John 7:14-16.

I said I wanted to continue with verse 16 this time and discuss the “doctrine” Jesus referred to in this verse.

Let’s continue.

“Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

It is interesting that the Greek word “eme” translated “mine ” means of me, my own, mine. In other words, Jesus is saying as a man, His teaching is not His alone.

We must remember that Jesus is both God and man.

Jesus said clearly;

I and my Father are one. ” John 10:30John 10:30This claim Jesus made is what professing catholic Bill O’Reilly of Fox News said he has trouble believing, 57% of today’s evangelicals have trouble believing since now for them Jesus is merely a way and no longer the only way to Heaven as they once formerly believed, and 99% of the population of the world has trouble believing. John 7:14-16

Posted by waynebrownministries on 23rd August 2008

” Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. And the Jews marveled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

Let’s continue.

” Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. “

It is interesting that according to their own law it is required that those who attend be present on the first day for their ritual ceremonies.

But since this feast was no longer the Feast of the Lord but instead had become the feast of the Jews, Jesus knowing this, He probably went in later since the whole thing was a comedy anyway.

When I was in Israel I noticed some places of business where the Jewish owners were keeping their stores open even after the “Sabbath” got started and I was told that some opened their stores even before the Sabbath ended. This was back in the 1990’s. I cannot imagine what they do today in disrespecting the Sabbath. When I was in Tel-Aviv some told me they had hopes of Tel-Aviv becoming like New York and even Las Vegas.

Jesus knew the whole thing was a joke but He came to earth on serious business and fulfilled His mission anyway.

” And the Jews marveled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? “When Jesus was only 12 years old He astounded the Rabbis even back then. Read the rest of this entry »

John 7:9-13 ( posted 8-19-08 )

Posted by waynebrownministries on 19th August 2008

” When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people. Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews. “ Let’s continue.  ” When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. “Just a recap.As we have learned, Jesus did not go into Judea because He knew the Jews were trying to murder Him.However, even with this knowledge Jesus’ brothers still encouraged Him to go into Judea.

I know how it is to be hated by family. When I get down thinking on this I’m reminded of what Jesus went through with His family too, even to the point they wished Him dead. If you are in this situation just remember that Jesus went through it too.

Something else to remember. Read the rest of this entry »

John 7:8 continued ( posted 8-15-08 )

Posted by waynebrownministries on 15th August 2008

Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.

Lets’ continue.

Do not be alarmed what I’m about to tell you.

This is no cause for shaking anyone’s faith.

If you have been with me from the start of my Bible study of the book of John, I explained how we got our Bible today and where it came from.

You need to read my discussion I entitled -

John 7:7 continued (posted 8-12-08 )

Posted by waynebrownministries on 12th August 2008

 ” The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

As you recall, I discussed John 7:2-7 in our last Bible study and I mentioned that I want to continue discussing verse 7.

Let’s continue.

Jesus told his brothers;

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.It is interesting that Jesus said; It is interesting that Jesus said;The world cannot hate you;Jesus did say clearly;Jesus did say clearly;” cannotJesus did say clearly;” “As we say “Birds of a feather flock together.”Jesus did say clearly;” “As we say “Birds of a feather flock together.”Jesus said to His disciples later;

Jesus did say clearly;” “As we say “Birds of a feather flock together.”Jesus said to His disciples later;If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. ” John 15:19John 15:19Even though there have always been wars between nations that have nothing to do necessarily with Jesus Christ, the world in general will love its own and will side with its own when it involves Jesus.John 15:19Even though there have always been wars between nations that have nothing to do necessarily with Jesus Christ, the world in general will love its own and will side with its own when it involves Jesus.Just the mere mention of Jesus’ name can stir up a ruckus.John 15:19Even though there have always been wars between nations that have nothing to do necessarily with Jesus Christ, the world in general will love its own and will side with its own when it involves Jesus.Just the mere mention of Jesus’ name can stir up a ruckus.While Jesus might happen to be respected by some people as a man in history who went around doing good, or as President Bush has said about Him…”Jesus was a good philosopher…” or as the muslims believe Jesus to be a good prophet but - “beside Himself”, or as many evangelical christians who once believed Jesus at His word as being the only way to Heaven have now reduced Jesus to being one of many ways to Heaven, when it comes to telling the world about Jesus being the Savior of our soul and saving us from our sin, then hostility arises and the inner hatred is revealed.John 15:19Even though there have always been wars between nations that have nothing to do necessarily with Jesus Christ, the world in general will love its own and will side with its own when it involves Jesus.Just the mere mention of Jesus’ name can stir up a ruckus.While Jesus might happen to be respected by some people as a man in history who went around doing good, or as President Bush has said about Him…”Jesus was a good philosopher…” or as the muslims believe Jesus to be a good prophet but - “beside Himself”, or as many evangelical christians who once believed Jesus at His word as being the only way to Heaven have now reduced Jesus to being one of many ways to Heaven, when it comes to telling the world about Jesus being the Savior of our soul and saving us from our sin, then hostility arises and the inner hatred is revealed.However, if a person is so burdened down with the load of sin and acknowledges that he or she is a sinner and needs help, as this is the result of the Holy Spirit convicting the person of sin and the person being open to the Holy Spirit’s conviction, and since the Holy Spirit is acting in agreement and unison with Jesus the Son of God and God the Father in directing a person to Jesus as Savior then, when someone comes along and mentions Jesus to a person who is in this process of the Holy Spirit’s conviction of sin

John 15:19Even though there have always been wars between nations that have nothing to do necessarily with Jesus Christ, the world in general will love its own and will side with its own when it involves Jesus.Just the mere mention of Jesus’ name can stir up a ruckus.While Jesus might happen to be respected by some people as a man in history who went around doing good, or as President Bush has said about Him…”Jesus was a good philosopher…” or as the muslims believe Jesus to be a good prophet but - “beside Himself”, or as many evangelical christians who once believed Jesus at His word as being the only way to Heaven have now reduced Jesus to being one of many ways to Heaven, when it comes to telling the world about Jesus being the Savior of our soul and saving us from our sin, then hostility arises and the inner hatred is revealed.However, if a person is so burdened down with the load of sin and acknowledges that he or she is a sinner and needs help, as this is the result of the Holy Spirit convicting the person of sin and the person being open to the Holy Spirit’s conviction, and since the Holy Spirit is acting in agreement and unison with Jesus the Son of God and God the Father in directing a person to Jesus as Savior then, when someone comes along and mentions Jesus to a person who is in this process of the Holy Spirit’s conviction of sinthe precious name of Jesus is most precious to this person and he or she will more times than not be responsive to Jesus.

But first of all, if we think we are good enough to go to Heaven just as we are and we do not think we need Jesus as Savior from our sins, then we will never feel the need to put our faith in Jesus since Jesus won’t seem important to us even if the Holy Spirit is convicting us of sin. We have a conscience and if we callous our conscience against the conviction of the Holy Spirit and continue to think we do not need Jesus as Savior, that we are good enough to make it to Heaven on our own, then we will never come to faith in Jesus Christ. Since He is meaningless to us.

I’m with people everyday who not only do not believe they need Jesus to help them but actually hate Jesus or anyone who informs them that they are sinners and need to be forgiven of their sins.

Why? I haven’t done anything wrong! Read the rest of this entry »

John 7:2-7 ( posted 8-09-08 )

Posted by waynebrownministries on 9th August 2008

“Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, show thyself to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in him. Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.It is raining at this moment and it is so nice.It is raining at this moment and it is so nice.We have had no rain here for a very long time.It is raining at this moment and it is so nice.We have had no rain here for a very long time.The Lord has blessed us with rain now.It is raining at this moment and it is so nice.We have had no rain here for a very long time.The Lord has blessed us with rain now.I hope you are enjoying my talks on Bible prophecy.
