I remember 40 years ago today watching the television broadcast of Neil Armstrong stepping off the ladder of the Lunar Module onto the surface of the moon.

I got to meet Jim Irwin, who was one of the astronauts who walked on the moon in a later Apollo mission. I have a signed photo of him standing by the American flag on the moon.
